Is Dil Raju Risking?
After the much needed success of Supreme, leading filmmaker Dil Raju is getting ready to produce a slew of projects. A film with Varun Tej in Shekar Kammula's direction, another one with Trivikram and finally Sharwanand's Sathamanam Bhavathi are on Dil Raju's platter this year.
While Shekar Kammula-Varun Tej's project will go to the sets in a month, Trivikram's film will take some time to be launched formally. Finally, Sharwa's Sathamanam Bhavathi will go on floors in September this year. In his latest interview, Dil Raju went on to state that he will release Sathamanam Bhavathi on January 14.
Already, the Sankranthi 2017 is jam packed with all the senior stars vying for the Pongal berth. Chiru's 150th project, Balayya's 100th film, Venky's next with Kishore Tirumala and Nag's devotional flick Namo Venkatesaya are in Sankranthi race as of now.
Sharwa's Express Raja released amidst heavyweights like Nannaku Prematho, Dictator and Soggade Chinni Nayana during this Sankranthi and still managed to score a decent hit.
Dil Raju seems to be banking on the same hit sentiment for Sathamanam Bhavathi, but one also gets a feeling that the hotshot producer is gambling a bit too much on Sharwa. Will Sharwa score a Sankranthi hit again and keep his producer's trust on him?
