Makers of 'Sultan' keep the movie’s promotion low key
After Salman Khan's comment on feeling like a "like a raped woman" triggered howls of protest from several quarters including the National Commission of Women, the makers of 'Sultan' have apparently decided to tamp down the promotional activities of the movie.
According to sources, Salman and Anushka Sharma were supposed to visit various cities to promote the film. However, with the media swirling and boiling around the issue in a kind of all-out feeding frenzy, the makers want to make sure that the actor doesn't get deluged by a barrage of questions on his controversial comment. In other words, they are steering clear of the publicity blitzkrieg which a Salman movie generally unleashes. The film's spokesperson, however, maintains that the team of Sultan is busy with shooting for reality shows.
Meanwhile, Salman has urged his family to desist from making any comments on the issue. According to a source, Salman doesn't want the issue to take the focus away from the film.
