Parineeti Chopra as Amrita Pritam?

This has got to be one of the most awaited biopics to be made on the silver screen. The unspoken romance between poet Sahir Ludhianvi and Amrita Pritam are what legends are made of. Speculations have been rife for a while now as to who will play the greats on screen. While a couple of years ago, there were reports that Irrfan was signed on to play Sahir Ludhianvi, there is yet no confirmation on the final cast.

And needless to add, there are several names doing the rounds for who will play Ludhianvi's love interest, Amrita. Kareena Kapoor Khan to Sonakshi Sinha to Priyanka Chopra — all the A-lister names have come up for the role. And the latest name to do the rounds in Parineeti Chopra.

We hear that Sanjay Leela Bhansali may rope in Parineeti, since her cousin Priyanka is snowed under international projects.
