Shirish Kunder sends legal notice to Aneel Neupane
Shirish Kunder is unhappy with the controversy surrounding his short film 'Kriti', which released earlier this month. Just days after it was put online, Kunder was hit with plagiarism charges by a Nepali filmmaker — Aneel Neupane — who said that Kunder had lifted the story for 'Kriti' from his own short film that is titled 'Bob'. Kunder's film was taken down from YouTube two days ago and now the filmmaker has sent a legal notice to Neupane. Speaking to a daily, Kunder said that he is upset about being charged with plagiarism when he has not done anything wrong. "It takes the fun out of everything. There were great reviews and lots of appreciation, and suddenly, there is this irritation. We released the film in June, but we shot it in February. For almost six months before that, the project was being put together. Then, we decided on the release date.
